  1. I think Benjamin had been established as his middle name already by this point, but it was very rarely mentioned, I imagine that Stan Lee simply didn’t know about it because until relatively recently, it was a pretty obscure bit of trivia.

  2. Didn’t Stan come up with the middle initial Q long before anyone said Peter’s middle name was “Benjamin”? For some reason I remember Stan saying “Peter Q. Parker” in the newspaper strip.

  3. @Evan: It is, but it doesn’t surprise me that Stan Lee didn’t know that and/or forgot.
