  1. Still waiting for the killer surprise that will keep me guessing in the Going Big issue, I had it figured out right from the start who the shooter was. The story was OK, pretty standard Conway stuff which is no bad thing, better than the B and C features anyway and the art was classic Bagley.

Symbiote Spider-Man was a good tie in to AC, but no real Spider-Man action. Hornacek, you aren’t missing anything if you don’t pick it up.

Oddly, the best book of the week is the Ghost Spider Annual; fleshed out the Gwen character and a solid story that was entertaining.

  2. Another Absolute Carnage tie-in? Pass.

Wait – it’s Symbiote Spider-Man? Written by Peter David?

What do I do? WHAT DO I DO?????

  3. “Erik Larsen returns to the book he revolutionized back in the 90’s with a story that will remind you why!”

Is Larsen writing in this issue, or drawing, or both? Wasn’t the only time he wrote a Spidey story that “Return of the Sinister Six” 6-parter? I hardly would call the writing “revolutionized”. And he had the unfortunate luck to be the ASM artist right after Todd McFarlane, so he was always being compared to him – not sure if I’d say if his art revolutionized the book – isn’t he most known in Spidey circles now for being the artist who gave Venom the elongated tongue and drool?
