My goal before the 2012 Spider-Man movie comes out is to interview the new Spider-Man and the director on a future podcast. I e-mailed Sony’s public relations a month ago and got word back today. Here’s a cut and paste of the e-mail reply.
I’m one of the publicists here at Sony and I’m working on Spider-Man. Nice to meet you, albeit over email.
Thanks so much for reaching out about Marc Webb, but unfortunately it’s way too soon to do anything. We’ll definitely be in touch when it’s more timely and appropriate.
THANKS!
Hope this pans out. Crawl Space really is the go-to-guy for Spider-related matters!
Actually Madgoblin, it says: Hey there Brad –

Thanks so much for reaching out about Marc Webb, but unfortunately it’s way too late to do anything we all got drunk all ready without you but we’ll definitely be in touch when it’s more timely and inappropriate, ’cause we’re gonna party like it’s animal house!
THANKS!
