  1. I remember Tarantula. He should have been a Daredevil villain. It was always ridiculous that he could last two seconds against Spidey. He was just a martial artist with blades on the tips of his shoes.

  2. Roger Stern seemed to really hate Tarantula! Had him effortlessly beaten and thrown head-first into some trash by Spidey, then had him mutated into a literal hideous tarantula monster, before being horrifically killed! To be fair, I don’t particularly like him either and I really hate non-powered characters being able to match Spidey, but it got kind of depressing.
