Let’s get started, what do you like about Spider-Man so much?
I fell in love with Peter from a young age. I loved watching any cartoons he was in! I have always liked that he was a regular high school kid that got super powers, and REALLY amazing ones at that. The comics are so easy to read and I find myself reading them non stop! The Renew Your Vows series is one of my favorites. MOSTLY because of Mary Jane though!

Any favorite artists or writers? Are you recent to the comics or do you travel back to the Stan Lee days?
I would have to say Stan Lee on my favorite writer, he made it all possible! Then next in line I would have to say Dan Slott, he has made some of my favorite comics!
As for artists Adam Kubert is amazing, but I have appreciation for ALL art!

Your Cosplay! So you dressed up as Mary Jane Watson, Peter Parker’s soulmate. What made you decide to do that?
After reading many comics and books I fell in love with MJ. Once I started cosplaying I knew I had to be her. I put it on my dream list, and I made it happen!

Do you know anything about Mary Jane? Do you feel any kind of connection to her?
Yes of course! Most of my life I saw her as a beautiful, smart, young women that a girl should grow into. Now I am her. That is a big shocked still to me! I connect with her in so many different ways, also depending on the comic!

What do you think of Peter and Mary Jane’s relationship. A lot of people want them back together and don’t agree with Marvel’s editorial decision back in 2007 to split them up. I happen to be one of those people. Your thoughts?
I think Peters soul mate IS Mary Jane. It is like Louis and Clark. They might break up, date other people, but they ALWAYS end up together!! It is yin and yang. I personally love all of his love interests. I may be partial to MJ and Silk however. I enjoy the romance stories from them all, but I do hope MJ comes back into play or they forget the whole split up altogether!

Where you introduced to Spider-Man in comics or more in media (TV, Movies, fanfilms)?
It was definitely in media. I was born in 1998 so I was watching the cartoons and movies way before I could get a hold on any comics sadly.

Is there any merchandise you hold dear to you that represents your love for the character besides your Cosplay?
I would have to say my comics or my Spider-Man Homecoming plush that I got from one of my good friends!

What was that like designing the costume and did the costume present any hurdles to you when making it?
This costume was mostly a breeze for me. It didn’t have any big builds like my others so I could relax! The first Mary Jane cosplay I did was based on a cover. So I bought the classic Mary Jane Spider heart shirt, then took it in to fit me. Then got a red wig and styled it to look just like my favorite versions of her!  My zentai suit was a little trickier, once I had ordered it and received. It didn’t fit correctly, so I had to exchange it to get one that fit my long torso!

You suited up for the first time and ready to walk on out of the floor as Mary Jane. What was that like and how did that feel?
Empowering. I get that feeling every time I cosplay her, and I feel a boost of positivity!

Sometimes a costume you cosplay as defines you, because you represent it so much. Has anyone ever called you “MJ” or “Mary Jane” while out of costume?
Yes most definitely. Especially if I am at a con and people who follow me on Instagram see me!

This is a Spider-Man site, but I’m sure people would like to know. What other cosplay costumes have you done?
I have done about 60-70 different characters and costumes but I will list a few that might interest you! I have cosplayed Silk, Spider Woman, Mary Jane, Lady Deadpool, Psylocke, Mary Jane Deadpool, x-23, Captain Marvel, Black Widow, Black Canary, Wonder Woman, Mera, Raven, and many more!!

You don’t have to say Mary Jane, but which costume is your favorite to dress up as?
Definitely Wonder Woman, seeing kids faces when they notice you is priceless!!

Have you ever considered dressing up as another spidey themed character?
Yes!! I have Gwen and Black Cat on my list next.

Seeing the other cosplays you have done, is Mary Jane the most enjoyable?
She is at the top!

Let’s have some fun, let’s say there is a Peter Parker in real life. Which means there is a Spider-Man. You see him on the TV and in the Newspapers and you know his secret! How would you handle that? Would you be an friend, enemy, partner, ally, or love interest?
TOTALLY a love interest and a partner. I would train in combat to be his partner!

Let’s have some MORE fun. Let’s say YOU have Spider-Powers. How would you go about with that?
Definitely be a hero like Peter BUT …. I would travel everywhere so I can pet all the dogs.

Yes I have visited the site!

If so, besides the Spider-Man Cosplay, are there certain other articles you’ve read on this site?
Once I heard of the site I automatically started reading and checking out what it had to offer! I absolutely love the cosplay articles.

Did you join our message boards? Whats your handle?
I haven’t been able to through my phone yet, but once I am able. My handle will most likely be Royal Court Cosplay

Do you listen to the Spider-Man Crawlspace Podcast?
I haven’t gotten to just yet but I am going to play it will I workout or “Spider train”
