Can you believe it’s been nearly four years since this happened?
This is definitely the highlight of Superior Spider-Man for me.

I was smiling so wide it hurt reading this part. Long time coming but completely worth it.
@Adam – And that’s only the official tally. It could be even higher.
@Jason and Joshua:
According to Comic Vine, he’s been involved in 6 issues of Volume 1/2, 13 issues of Superior, 6 issues of Volume 3, and 16 issues so far of Volume 4.
Even though the finale to “Goblin Nation” (and SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN for that matter) was underwhelming, this scene was fantastic–probably one of my favorite Spider-Man moments in over a decade.
That being said, you really do have to wonder how much of it is due to Slott or Gage.
I’ve been thinking the same thing. How much of Slott’s run was actually Gage?
This is such a well-written panel, it’s hard to believe it was in Slott’s run.
“Plot: Dan Slott
Script: Christos Gage”
Oh wait, that explains a lot. Slott’s plot probably just said “The Goblin realizes that Spider-Man is not Otto anymore”. Gage took that and ran with it.
