From “Amazing Spider-Man” issue 12. Oh boy, where to begin? Jameson’s “proof” that Spider-Man is dangerous is because…real life spiders are dangerous? Peter thinks that he if (a science geek) displays any knowledge of spiders, people will connect the dots? And that last panel is pure Ditko.

Since “Shattered Dimensions” is the current talk among Spidey fans and video gamers, I think it might be fun to remember old Spidey video game ads of old.

I remember reading this when I was like 8 or 9 and just loving it. Gotta love classic DeFalco and Frenz in the 1980s! It’s a scene from the classic team up in Amazing Spider-Man […]

In the past I’ve tried to avoid some Peter/MJ heavy selections for “Spidey Memories” so we’d avoid a “marriage flame war”. With all the OMIT talk I figured it’s time to give the people what […]

I love the Billy Graham reference…
This strip comes shortly before his unmasking by Doc Ock. Both are from issue #12. This strip is from page 4. He’s unmasked by Ock on page 8.
But it wasn’t his first fight with Ock (that happened in issue #3).
(I just happened to have the Complete Amazing Spider-Man DVD already in my computer – so was simple to check)
I think it’s after. I have Essential Spider-Man vol.1 next door so I’ll reference that to confirm.
Maybe Peter just didn’t want to get carried away in talking, such things happen in real life
But Jonah Jameson needs an expert on arachnids to make a fool of him
Is this strip from before his first fight with Ock or after?
This reminds me that Harry knew of the incident of unmasking Pete in this issue and he believed Peter was acting as a fool, in the 90s Harry was in his full mentality not affected by drugs when he remembered Peter is Spider-Man while looking at him departure after Spider-Man gave him a talk on how it isn’t simple to be a superhero, too bad Harry didn’t remember this incident at that time
