I’m going to be taking some time off from the site for a few months. Since 1998 I’ve been working on the site to make it what it is today. That’s 17 years this August. Since 2006 I’ve been editing podcasts almost weekly and turned several out a month. I created this place as a hobby and the last few months it’s just felt like a job. I really am just burned out.
Editing the podcasts, updating the front page just haven’t been as much fun as they used to. So I’m going to take some time off. There won’t be any new podcasts recordings this April or May. My goal is to bring the gang all back together this summer in June and start recording new shows.
The Crawlspace isn’t going anywhere. I’m still paying the bills to keep the lights on with a few dollars of support from you all of course. I still have some amazing reviewers that will keep the front page going. There will also be news on the front page and you’ll have a back log of 368 podcast episodes to listen to. I’m just tired. I’m also a bit frustrated at comic creators, fellow Spider-sites and fandom in general. I’ll be back in June. After 17 years without a vacation, I’m going to re-charge.

D’uh, I was waiting for a few more podcasts to accumulate before undertaking a nice binge listen and didn’t even notice the note on the podcast info (or front page) saying BD was taking a break. Brad, take as much time as you need. We will all be here waiting for you when you get back brother.

In all honesty, take as much time as you need BD. Sometimes a little time away from something helps. That way when you get back you’ll be recharged and ready to go again.
There’s no doubt you’ve earned the break. I hope it helps. I wonder if any of us listening know just how much work it takes for you to put the podcasts out each month?
I’ll miss the podcasts but look forward to hearing from a refreshed panel, and host, in June.

I found this website around 5 or 6 months ago and have loved every minute of your website and podcasts. I will definitely miss listening to everyone. You all help to make the drive into work less stressful. Just please remember the three “R’s” Recharge, Regroup, and Return.

While I’ll definitely miss the podcast, considering all the great work you’ve done and the state of Spidey as it is right now, I can’t blame you for taking a break. Please, spend time with your family and relax Brad. You’ve earned it.

Sorry to hear this Brad, understandble, however I will miss listening to new podcasts on my way to and from University! I will be waiting patiently for when they return. This just adds to the rumours that Brad would be taking Zayn’s spot in One Direction. Ever since he first sang on the podcast way back when, you could tell me wanted to break into the industry and the timing all but confirms his placement in the band.
