I’ve got some bad news for May Parker fans. Spider-Girl in the new Ultimate Spider-Man Web Warriors Cartoon will be Petra Parker. She’ll come from an alternate universe where the genders are reversed. She will fight Norma Osborn aka the Goblin.
Actress Olivia Holt will voice Petra. She’s been in several Disney productions like Girl Vs Monster and Kickin’ It. Below is a video or her singing to hear what she sounds like.

@19 – But alternate realities are the perfect opportunity to showcase a character that results from Peter getting married and having a child. Alternate realities are when the show writers can go crazy and do all of the stuff that they can’t do in the main reality – shows like Fringe knew how to run with stuff like this (zeppelins, a bronze Statue of Liberty, West Wing season 11).
Because it’s an alternate reality you could say “in this reality, Peter has a daughter and she’s Spider-Girl, but it’s a world different from ours where things happened differently”. Do they really think viewers will be so confused by seeing an alternate reality where Peter had a child that they think this *has* to happen in the main reality? I don’t think the viewers of the original Star Trek thought the Federation would become evil after watching the Mirror, Mirror episode.
If they can’t do this, then they shouldn’t bring a Spider-Girl character into the show at all.
Of course they won’t have the Ultimate Cartoon use the daughter of Peter and Mary Jane. That would mean a married Peter Parker. We can’t have that. That means he can have regular sexual relationships. Have his long time friend and lover hate him because she doesn’t remember his identity and become a crime boss.
I saw this episode. I was excited for the Spider-Verse storyline. I am no longer excited. It is play by numbers “Illustrate differences between universe, alternate Spidey beats up USM Spidey, they team up, teamwork helps them beat the Goblin, Spidey follows Goblin to the next universe”. Irritation is real

… the fact that they didn’t go for the ultimate troll and go with Anya Corizon is just shocking. My heart goes out to you guys, but just ask yourselves. When was the last time Marvel gave you guys what you really wanted?
I NEVER expected it to be Mayday, so this doesn’t surprise me AT ALL.
Truly there is a special place in hell for whoever decided that a gender bender version of spider man would be better than May
But let’s be honest with ourselves for a second. Do any of you complaining about it not being Mayday really want her on this show? Do you really want Mayday’s first (and probably only) animated appearance to be on Ultimate Spider-Man?
@12 – If it’s any constellation, they’ve recycled Amazing Fantasy #15 about 40 times.
Why doesn’t marvel just recycle the first 40 issues of spiderman over and over again like Gilligan’s Island and leave it at that?
Big supprise (sarcasm) this is the same series who fought Harry Osborn would have made a better Venom then Eddie Brock.
Poor Mayday…. can Marvel please accept the fact Peter works best also as a father and just let it go? Poor Peter Parker as well, he’ll never know of the daughter he had in the Ultimate cartoon…….how sad that Spider-girl will never be adapted into media such as TV and film. My God are Marvel obsessed with a teenage Spider-Man. Who wants to see that forever?
