It seems every week there are more and more variants for the first issue of Amazing Spider-Man. Which one will you be getting? The book comes out on April 30th and is $5.99.

Marvel sent me this preview image. What do you think?
Marvel sent over previews for Spidey books coming out on 06-12-24. What will you be picking up?
This weekend Brad, JR and George will record four podcast episodes. We start at 8 pm central. Here is the breakdown. 8 pm-Friday Night Fights looks at Amazing Spider-Man #64. This is the show for […]
Out of all of them, I’m getting the regular Ramos cover because it’s telling the story – I’m Peter! I’m alive! The others could be any cover of any Spidey book. I don’t buy into variants anyway – so 90s – and look how that turned out…
The Ross one is good, but the .1 Ross covers have been better. I really like the Skottie Young and Epting ones are my favorites. I like Ramos a lot, but I’m not a fan of his cover at all.
No to the Black Cat variant. After all, it is Spider-Man…too bad the Alex Ross cover is too expensive. That is the best one. Maybe I can get it as a poster…
I forgot one more. The Ed McGuinness variant. These things are like Tribbles.
#10 Well now that you mention it, that is the ONE good thing about the Ramos cover – at least it attempts to have SOMETHING to do with the story inside – Peter Parker is back … and is apparently ecstatic about it.
Oh man… that ugly butt Ramos one is the regular cover? I told LCS guys just which ever one was the cheapest. Yeah, variants are just the butt off the comic industry these days. How can anyone ever think they’re gonna look back on any of these covers, and have a clue as to what the story was about? Oh well… I’m old. B-)

My favorites here are the Adi Granov and Alex Ross ones. I’d like the Marco Martin one if it had a better shot of the mask.
Gotta catch ’em all!
Remember when they used to try to sell a comic on the strength of its content?
All those covers when the Martin one says it all. I’m getting whatever comixology give me.
Well actually the Jerome Opena cover is pretty cool.
Marcos Martin is the interesting one. The rest are just pretty pictures. Except of course Ramos – that isn’t even pretty, just a really dippy cross-eyed looking Peter.
If I was even remotely able to fit it in my budget, I’d get the Alex Ross variant for sure. However, being almost $100, it’s just a little too steep for me… can’t even find the Steve Epting one for sale online, otherwise I’d get that one. Pop Mhan it is I guess. At least it’s the same price as the Ramos regular.
Marcos Martin is the one I’d get if only I could get my hand on one. The cover alone would be worth this one-time buy. Does anyone know if it’s possible to order the comic online?
The Black Cat one is bit ridiculous when she is the main feature in issue 3.
I think variants are ridiculous. I’ll get whatever my comic shop owner gives me. $5.99?!?!?!? As if $3.99 wasn’t bad enough. For that cost I hope Peter and MJ get back together.
