A seller on E-bay is selling some rare Mike Wieringo art that was created for the 1990s Spider-Man action figure packaging. They were not used, but this is still a nice find. He was such an awesome artist and he left us way too soon. I had a chance to see him in person years ago at a Chicago Comic Con and he was the real deal. The seller is asking a $1000 and if I had some extra money,it’d be an easy sale.

Love Wieringo’s work, definitely one of my favorites too. I think all of them are ‘remakes’. There’s the first Hobgoblin Hornacek mention, Spidey crawling the wall is from Frenz , on the other page there’s a Spidey from Larsen..I bet the other ones would be easy to find.
Really nice 90s artwork there! Makes me feel all nostalgic. Mike Wieringo is one of my all time favourite artists and was taken from us way too soon.
Those are awesome! Thanks for sharing them. I loved Mike Wieringo. Definitely one of my favorite artists of the modern era, and I was extremely saddened by his very untimely death.
I myself have an original Wieringo Spider-Man piece that is very similar to what you are showing here. It’s always been one of my favorite original pieces of art that own. I attached a scan of it to this comment.
Nice! 90’s nostalgia is always a treat.
That one of Hobgoblin seems to be a “remake” of the last page of ASM #238 (first Hobgoblin).
Hard to improve on Romita Jr/Romita Sr but this comes close.
