Native Texan George Berryman has been a Spider-Man fan since 1975 and Crawlspace contributor since 2009. He lives in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and hopes to one day be as curmudgeonly as J.R. Fettinger.

As much as I’m not a fan of the Hulk-Goblin in Ultimate Spider-Man…I’d rather see a Hulk-Goblin than this Evil Ed/Leprechaun hybrid.
Where are the other remaining Sex Pistols?
But we don’t know that it can’t be translated to film. Marvel studios has a racoon with a gun and a tree-man happening right now, which is why I wish they were designing the Spidey franchise!
I like it, at least what I’ve seen of it.
I’ll know more when I’ve seen it motion.
The classic look can’t be translated to film, so painting the actors face makes sense.
Am I the only one who likes this design?
This, for those who don’t know, is Evil Ed.
Wow George, you were right…the Goblin really does look EXACTLY like Evil Ed from Fright Night!
(The classic 80’s one, not the pointless remake.)
@8 and @2 to be honest im kinda burnt out on the goblin as well
Why does the Goblin look like Billy Idol?
IT’S A NICE DAY FOR A … WHITE WEDDING
God, they really don’t know what to do with the goblin, do they? What a confused design. With the Rhino and Electro they’ve been really streamlined so that they’re both sensical to the world of ASM and aesthetically competent. But this guy? He could be any goon. Would love for them to find something really iconic to capture the Goblin both physically and metaphorically.
Yeah I’m pretty sure that’s Dean DeHaan.
ok everyone keeps saying that s Harry Osborne as the Goblin but look closely that doesnt look like Harry at all
I’ll take a Goblin who can emote over static Tiki Mask Raimi Goblin, but it wouldn’ta killed them to have his skin maybe turn green?
I’m with George. Norman is the superio–um, the better Goblin. But we’ll see. I honestly have yet seen a Spider-Man movie that I have loved. (Yes even Spider-Man 2, IMHO, was dragged down by Maguire’s weepy performance and the corny and predictable dialogue) However, I am always open to have my mind changed by a great Spidey film.
I wonder, if with some creative editing, if I can use this fight as the resolution to James Francos arc.
I liked the first Raimi Spider-Man despite the Goblin looking like a fourth season Power Rangers villain. That says something for Willem DaFoe’s performance, when he can be taken seriously despite that laughable costume.
The look doesn’t irk me so much as the fact that Harry’s the first Goblin and not Norman. Ugh.
Okay not what I was expecting but ill leave judgment until I see the final film.
