I work at a comic shop and this holds tons of truth. When we are writing pull lists for people we get rambling like this, especially over the phone.
This is why they invented pull lists.
@#1 Awesome mom. And your brother is still a fan of monster comics?
As usual, Eddie nails it on the head. This is pretty amusing because it brought back a memory. Many years ago, on a rare occasion, my father offered to pick up my and my brother’s comic book selections at the newsstand (before I had my driver’s license and pre-Direct Market obviously). Mom had what my brother and I liked committed to memory, because she would read all our comics as well. Dad…very different story. As I started to rattle off what MIGHT be there (in those days you had no idea what was going to be on the stands from week to week), Amazing Spider-Man, Spectacular Spider-Man, Marvel Team-Up, Incredible Hulk, Werewolf by Night, Man-Thing (my brother was into the latter three)…Dad got disgusted and said “I’m not going to remember all of that,” and the offer was rescinded.
