I saw this art, and recalled how it wasn’t until I got out of my dumb teens that I realized how those bombs ought to blast Spider-Man’s body open, and riddle him with a shower of red-hot shrapnel, and that they didn’t just go “whoomp” like a balloon! But that’s half the fun of comic-books — the physics.
Don’t worry about it dude. Now let us continue admiring this piece of art.
@4- thanks. You know, I think it was the “her” that confused me. I read it as it was referring to Frenz and not Spider-girl
He should come back to Spider-man with Tom DeFalco. I would buy anything they produced.
Spider-Girl is the daughter of Spider-Man, so Spider-Man is her “poppa” or dad.
OK, I’m going to ask even though I suspect I’m going to look like an idiot for asking… The caption says: “Spider-girl artist Ron Frenz returns to her poppa in a commissioned battle against the Green Goblin”. What’s a “poppa”? And isn’t Ron Frenz a guy?
Ooh, love this. Frenz is probably my favorite Spider-Artist.
That’s an awesome pic. Is this a commission that Ron did for you? I love it! Wish Mr.Frenz was on the main Spidey title, and not Ramos. (I’m sure Mr. Ramos is a great guy, and I do like a few of his Spidey pics… but his whole issue comic book art just ruins the story for me. Just my opinion of course)
Keep On Thwipin’!!!
