@Aziz It’s AFTER the movie?
@AmFan15: The free roam movie games feel more like the classic comics guy and less like the movies dork. With Beenox adoration of ASM the comic guy, we may get a more Amazing 616 game out of this than a movie tie-in. Plus, its events come after the movie, so no restriction to Lizard story
I like that it seems more free-roam, and the web-slinging seems reminiscent of Spider-Man 2. That does interest me…
However, it’s based on the Amazing Spider-Reboot…that officially kills any and all interest for me.
They could come out with the best, most exciting, and realistic game yet…But it still ain’t based on the REAL Spider-Man.
(If the REAL Spider-Man costume were unlockable, I might consider changing my mind…
But I REFUSE to play as the Amazing Silver-Bootied-Bicycle-Currier-Man…No, thank you. >:( )
Looks good to me. All of the Beenox spidey games have proven me wrong so far, so I’m keeping an eye out for this. Besides, all of the Beenox game have had tons of unlockable costumes. So if this does, the one thing I don’t like about this will be fixed very easily.
I hope they give less area limits and more creativity.
I was going to quit, used to mock ASM and pit down all hopes for free roaming games, expected dread from Spider-Man games to come though I enjoy SMEoT, this trailer came out and I fell in love with the game, I want to stay loving it
Free roaming isn’t yet done, there are still more things to be seen from it, but with the time restrictions Activision gives developers we will never see free roaming to its full potential
Spider-Man 2 was great. And Ultimate Spider-Man was good too as the cartoony feel and playable Venom provided something different. But to me, once the free roaming Spidey has been done, it’s been done. The new Beenox games are great because they offer something new every time. This one had nothing different in the trailer that we’ve not seen before, other than the costume. I don’t have a problem with the costume other than a lack of belt, but I can’t see myself getting this game.
Since I´ve heard good things about beenox doing spidey games, maybe this will be a decent movie tie-in game? Hey, a guy can hope! 😉
For me, it depends on the character. Batman and Daredevil would make an excellent limited open-world game, since that’s about as far as they can go(unless Batman uses his Batwing or Batmobile), but I’m not sure about Spidey.
Am I the only person that does not like the open-world sandbox format of games? I really hope it’s limited open-world but this trailer doesn’t make it seem that way
So, anyone else think the Smythes and their Spider-Slayers will appear?
@Dave-It would have been funny, and a huge WTF for anyone not in Spidey fandom.
Is it bad I was waiting for “adjectiveless” to show up in the Spider-man font there?
Awesome! Back to the sandbox format which was always the best, and the mechanics look really good!
An optimistic meh at this point.
Beenox finally caves and does an open world Spider-Man game… and it had to be THIS costume. And yes, it bothers ME.
That was actually pretty cool. The costume didn’t really bother me as well. Huh.
