The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Sony has sent out a memo to the movie theaters that it won’t pay for the 3D glasses on it’s films. The report says that it had cost Sony as much as $10 million dollar a film. What are your thoughts? How much will it cost to see the Amazing Spider-Man next summer in 3D?

It seems they want to make sure the opening weekend sales break a record so making people pay an extra for the glasses is a step in that greedy direction.
Wasn’t going to see it in 3D anyways
I thought we paid for the glasses when we bought the overpriced tickets for 3D movies. Why the extra cost for glasses if movie companies have been buying them?
@#3 They should have some sort of alternative for people with glasses.
@Sthenurus
Same here. It would be quite awesome to see Spidey swinging around in 3D.
Well, I guess I won’t be seeing this in 3-D.
Of course, I wasn’t planning on seeing this AT ALL, so…
I don’t go watch movie in 3D anyways. Since I’m already wearing glasses, its unconfortable. And it gives me an headaches…
No thanks Sony. I have like 20 pairs of 3D glasses here laying around. Bunch of cheapskates.
Here in Winnipeg, it generally costs about $14.00 for 3D, $9.00 for the same movie in 2D
