If anything, I was suspecting they would take a cue from the Ultimate story and make Pete’s parents connected to Brock’s. From what I’ve seen of Ultimate and Amazing, I preferred Ultimate’s interpretation of Venom more, so maybe they’re hinting at a better done Venom for a sequel… maybe?
**SIGH** Am I the only one getting tired of how, post-1996, EVERYTHING somehow has ties to Norman Osborn? It’s beyond irritating at this point.
I think most fans can agree that the less said about Peter’s parents being SHIELD agents, probably the better. Although I’d rather we didn’t have a story about Pete’s parents at all, should just be that they dies in a plane crash. End of story. Not every event in Peter’s life has to be tied to superheroes/villains.
Maybe it won’t be revealed until one of the sequels. If we do get one. And as LudaChris said it will be more likely a CIA.
What? How dare they make such a good move and not insert a useless plot for the movie, I’m boycotting
I’m actually more than ok with that. The whole ‘secret agent’ thing has always been almost to ridiculous for me to swallow. They were never gonna be SHIELD agents either just because of the whole copyright thing, although that would be interesting. Personally I’m a big fan of them working at Oscorp, I think that’s a nice touch and I like the way it seemingly ties everything together.
