You ppl are being overly sensitive, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that art, or Spidey’s head.
Who here didn’t called that one ? 🙁
The head looks fine, guys.
Here’s the Cyclops as Magneto:
http://popculturezoo.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/DoYouFearWhatYouveBecome.jpg
I don’t really get the whole head looks like a melon thing, it looks like a normal enough human head to me.
I wouldn’t say the art’s terrible, but that’s a huge melon he’s balancing on his neck, tere…
I saw some promotional art for the same thing involving the X-Men with Cyclops dressed as Magneto. It looks like this will be the next “big event” for the 616 Universe.
It’s the return of the Void/Sentry!!! j/k
I think it looks kinda neat. But at the bottom it says April. If the Death of (Ultimate) Spider-Man starts in February, does that mean it will be a long and huge event that keeps on going until after april? I wonder how much or little significance this one scene will have. (By the way, that wasn´t meant in a sarcastic and/or negative way, I am genuinly curious)
What is wrong with the art? Spidey’s head looks like a watermelon!!!
@10
What exactly is wrong with the art? Spider-Man actually looks like a real person wearing spandex instead of a bulked-out mess.
If this was Ramos or the guy who did the Deadpool issue I could understand the negativity, but c’mon this is Mike McKone who is decent. Some people just complain, complain, complain…
I don’t fear tomorrow, I fear today! Why wait until the last minute?!
If That’s The Interior Art…Then Yes I Fear Tomorrow And Any other day with that guy drawing them.
Oh, and here’s another possible clue (click on the “fear” link): http://marvel.com/news/story/14833/iron_man_return_of_the_mandarin
(Comment #7) Oops. It was pointed out to me that the promo image is done by Mike McKone. My mistake.
Actually, it looks like it could very well tie into some upcoming event, which is teased at in these series of promotional posters: http://www.bleedingcool.com/wp-content/uploads//2010/12/img0142.jpg and http://www.bleedingcool.com/wp-content/uploads//2010/12/img013.jpg and also this teaser trailer: http://marvel.com/videos/watch/1661/fear
And I believe the artist in that Spider-Man promotional image is by Stuart Immonen.
I think it’s a very evocative piece of art. And yes, this past decade has been kinda crappy, so who wouldn’t fear tomorrow?
marvel should fear losing more and more readers…
Flood kills hundreds is a caption on one of the newspapers.
It’s Ultimate
Honestly his body looks slim enough to be Ultimate Spider-Man. This might be some tie in to the “Death of Spider-Man” that’s going to happen.
The art looks like Steve McNiven’s which he is doing a cover for the Death of Spider-Man story.
I hope this isnt another thing to peek my interest and then it turns out to be for Ultimate Spidey or something else I dont read again.
That art is terrible, by the way. Look at Spidey’s head! 😆
