Bertone was able to track down Amazing Spider-Man writer Dan Slott to hold up the sign. You’ve gotta admit, he was a good sport to do this. I told Bertone to tell Slott that he could rip it up for the shot, instead he decided to hold it upside down.

@Javi
Hmmmm
Sorry, I’ve not been keeping up: what did he do? Why would he get abuse?
so does this mean you have an interview with him?!?!?!?!
haha that’s pretty cool.
That’s Nice of Slott to Do This. Credit Again to Bertone!
Since he is going to be the solo writer on ASM now, it behooves him to make nice with the biggest Spider-Man website on the internet. That is a funny pic and it was sporting of him to play along with Bertone.
looks like the guy that fell on spidey
I like that he held it upside down, partily covered his face, and didn’t look at the camera.
He’s gotta love it, he’s a member ;D
I’m stunned…
The upside down thing is a sign for help…
Haha no we’re in a corner because we needed an outlet to charge some recording equipment for an INTERVIEW.
LOL, it looks like you kidnapped poor Slott and shoved him in some corner, forcing him to take this pic. “DO it Slott, or else!!!” “All right all right! Let me go!” In his panic he turned the sign upside down.
nice of him to do this though. these sort of things should be a reminder to people that while we may vehemently disagree with the ideas these guys (Quesada, Slott) have for the title they are being great sports by doing things like this, and because of that people should really think twice before launching ad hominem insults/personal atacks. They’re fans just like us; they just have different ideas about how to portray Spidey.
He is a good writer and does derserve a pat on the back for this. It is a pretty funny picture haha.
Haha. I like it.
What a good sport! Congrats to him too!
Cool. 🙂
At least he was a good sport about it.
Thats actually pretty funny.
I agree this pic is hilarious, I really look forward to seeing what he does with Amazing starting in November. He writes a fun book.
That’s pretty funny — almost as funny as the “myegh” look on Quesada’s face in his photo.
That picture is too funny!
He has his back against the wall, in a corner, with an expression of bewilderment on his face. I think Bertone literally DID track him down. 😛
Congrats for getting [mostly] all the heavy hitters of ASM, Bertone!
This whole Dan Slott issue can blow over. The guy’s an amazing writer. I’ve really liked most his work that I’ve read.
I saw him yesterday and thought it would be funny if I had remembered to print out the crawlspace paper. Good job Bertone lmao.
I think its pretty funny for him to hold it upside-down.
kudos to him to be fair
