Very true. I guess this was the start of a spider-tradition — although today, he usually gets defeated and would stay defeated without the help of others.
I mean, in the Lee/Ditko era when Spidey met a new foe, he usually got defeated because it was someone new that he didn’t know what their powerset was.
Wow. Nowadays Spider-man gets defeated all the time.
It is strange that this is a Ditko splash page with no background drawn – just Doc Ock on a white panel.
