I was unable to post the picture directly, but here’s a link to a Facebook page dedicated to Dave Hunt that shows a photo of him inking a story called “The Tarantula is a Very Deadly Beast” from Amazing Spider-man #147 in 1975, which is about the time the above panel was drawn. I guess he drew himself into it.

@Evan: It’s probably “Backgrounds by Hunt.” Dave Hunt inked the backgrounds during this time and would put in little Easter eggs like that.

I’ve investigated online to see if the “Backgr… Hun…” in the election poster in the background was anyone in real life, but I’ve had no luck.
I guess the fact that Rocky loves Selma is all we really need to know about those two.
