I review issue #34/928 of Amazing Spider-Man. While the first part of the “sinister” Spider-man was ok. This issue is a major turn around, focusing on villains and the darkness of the Spider-Man Who Laughs. Sadly, the issue still has its faults as some characters show up because they SHOULD be there and others are just along for the ride.

I’m all right with the sudden appearance of Randy and Janice because I feel they’re only here to show Tombstone’s life support being unplugged. And I assume we’re being reminded of their status quo because they’re going to be part of the upcoming Gang War story – I assume, since Tombstone is going to be part of it, so Janice (and dragged along, Randy) will be part of it as well.
As far as the Queen Goblin, I was glad to see her return after being absent last issue, since she was such a big part of the first issue in this story – the Lady Macbeth behind “Kraven” urging him to do all of this. The sins were in her, so if she never appeared in the rest of this story it would be glaring.
