I would say not even the writers know, since everybody seems to do their own 2099 thing irrespective of what came before. Technically, the original one is not in 2099 anymore, but in 2100, thanks to PAD who wanted to turn the page over the 2099.
However in the first panel of the preview a Watcher says:
“A reality rewoven… Unified from disparate timelines.”
So, yeah, there’s that. Whatever it means.
I’m so confused as to which Spider-Man 2099 this is, the original one or the new version that came from that 2099 event a few years back
