  1. I hear you, Adam. My only request was just to have George review the book. Not support Marvel. Sort of like how a reporter would cover a sports team he didn’t like or a politician he didn’t agree with.

  2. I have to respectfully disagree with you Steve. When something you’ve loved for a long time is consistently and repeatedly disappointed you, the correct response isn’t to keep reading it and bitch about it on the internet. If you keep buying the books, and you hate the creative decisions, they will just keep giving you the stuff you hate. If you truly have a problem with a direction of a book, I think you have the responsibility to stop reading it, or at least stop paying for it. That’s the only thing creators understand.
I agree with George’s opinion to drop the book, but maybe we are the only two not buying, and marvel has 1000 new fans to replace us with, and they will keep doing what they are doing. That is also fine. Are feelings are only opinions.
But blind loyalty to anything in today’s day and age is only going to get you taken advantage of. Personally, I miss the Spider-Man comics I grew up with. No, they were never perfect, there were better eras and worse eras, but I usually had fun, and looked forward to the next issue. I’d sign up for that again if something vaguely resembling my Spider-Man showed up in the comics. I did for Spenser’s run, even though I didn’t always like it as much as some. But in my opinion, this isn’t my Spider-Man. So I’m out. And if George feels the same way, he should be out too.
    Not that he isn’t missed…

  3. No offense to anyone on the panel but the review cast of the main book needs the Berryman perspective. I get and appreciate is current mad on at Marvel but enough is enough. George, you step up and do it for the fans. The people who have tuned in month after month to hear your perspective. The Beyond reviews were overcrowded and severely impacted by Jrs and George’s absence. Jr is back now it’s time for George to put on a clean diaper and get on to dishing on the book like only he can. Like that guy on Tik Tok would say:
    Don’t like the book?
    Sick of the Marvel way?
    Review it anyway.
    Be a man….
