  1. @Stuart Green well to be fair they said Beyond was going to be shocking and it’s the most by the nimbers story I’ve ever seen. So don’t buy into the hype.

It is kind of sad they are trying desperately to hit gimmicks for a flagship title but spider man has been kind of poorly run since JMS

  2. It’s never a good sign when someone working at Marvel tells us that we’re going to be asking “WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?!?!”, especially in all caps like that. Having this Sinister Adaptoid makes me think of that Skrull from “Secret Invasion” or whatever that had the Sinister Six’s powers, so this already doesn’t look like something that we haven’t seen before. Also, another re-re-return for the Sinister Six after having them just show up pointlessly in “Sinister War”? Yawn.

And to answer writer Zeb Wells’ question, I, for one, am not going to check this out. Having Peter and Mary Jane split up again and having his allies like the Fantastic Four and Aunt May being “on the outs” with Peter isn’t making me want to buy this comic, especially since the Kindred story ended on such a flat note and the “Beyond” storyline has been pretty pointless.

Marvel, call me when you decide to re-marry Peter and Mary Jane and decide to tell stories than rely on gimmick and “WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?!?!” decisions. Till then, I’m still not going to buy the book.

I hope you all are doing well and stay safe.
