MARCO SPEAKS SPIDEY: Spider-Woman #20 REVIEW

Just from the cover and the introduction page alone, you already know that this issue of Spider-Woman is going to be hilarious. And they have no shame announcing that pretty much nothing is going to happen… and that is perfectly all right! It works… it really, really works. Spider-Woman’s life has already been as crazy and hectic as can be in the past year or so, so she really does need some peace and quiet. But just when you think it is going to be a rare, normal day for Spider-Woman… things turn into a bit of a circus. But it is precisely these kinds of comic books that stand out in a very crowded industry. I still remember the classic issue of Spider-Woman, recently, when the entire comic book was a giant, continuous, Hollywood chase-scene. You have to give the glory to the creative team behind the title, always pushing boundaries and trying out story-telling tools that are not used very often. No chills! No thrills! This just might work every now and then.
