It’s by Tony Isabella. Wrote a lot of Ghost-Rider in the 1970s and then a journeyman writer for DD, Spidey and Cap and other heroes in the 80s and 90s. His writing is…. okay imo. I can’t think of any memorable arcs he’s done, but he was an early blogger in the 1990s when other pros his age were still figuring out what “email” meant.
One of the first issues (maybe THE first issue) of Spider-Man I ever bought as a kid. Too bad it wasn’t a better storyline haha. Still… it did its’ job and got me to pick up more.
At first it looked like the writer was named “Tony Sabella” and there was a “/” between his first and last name. Or this was written by 2 writers named Tony and Sabella.
