  1. @Andrew C – No, I don’t like it when they remove stuff from trades they think aren’t appropriate or related to the trade story. Leave those pages in. This wasn’t a mini-series where everything in the issues related to the main story. It was 4 issues of an ongoing book, which means the character continued after this story, and there were sub-plots going on that had nothing to do with it.

Re: Death of Jean DeWolff TPB. Yeah, it struck me as odd and out of place too. They probably should’ve removed all pages related to the fake Santa from the TPB.

  3. You, ignoring facts? That’s not what Chi-Town says about you over on the Chi-Town-And-Dark-Mark-Are-BFFs thread on the Discord.

    Merry Christmas!

  4. I don’t let little things like facts get in the way of my comments, Hornacek! Merry Christmas to you!

  5. I love that The Death of Jean Dewolff trade has to include a paragraph from Peter David explaining what this Santa-Burglar subplot is about going through these 4 issues, as they have nothing to do with the Jean Dewolff/Sin Eater story, and anyone just picking up this trade would be scratching their head and asking “What do these pages of Santa breaking into people’s apartments have to do with this story?”

  6. @DarkMark – That was the fake burglar Santa. The real Santa showed up at the end to help catch him for Spidey.

  7. Hornacek, Spidey already beat up Santa in a Peter David issue before this. No coal for anyone!

  8. Spidey: “Maybe on Christmas Eve, no one’s a hero.”
Santa: “Um, what? That is the one day of the year when I’m *definitely* a hero! Spidey, you get coal in your stocking this year!”
