I review part 1 of the Chameleon Conspiracy. While an enjoyable issue that doesn’t slow down, I feel too much subplots are being thrown at us at once in the grand scheme of things and artwork that is not very constant through the book.

The more sub-plots the merrier in my opinion, I like a book with a lot going on, it means there’s more to follow and not every page is padded out by panels of dry conversation with Peter and his cast that for the most part goes nowhere. Here, all of Peter’s scenes mattered with Betty.
Theresa possibly having her origin walked back on? Again, absolutely there for it. It’s long overdue and she needs put back in the toybox like every other ‘new and perfect’ thing nobody wanted for the last decade.
I truly do think some fans don’t know how good they currently have it with Spencer and they’ll miss this kind of thing if and when he departs. He’s putting out the best Spider-Man rollercoaster there’s been since the JMS era, maybe even before that. I mean, the man has now referenced THE ROBOT PARENTS….he has no chill.
