I still find it really cool to see Batman and Spider-Man in a comic together, the novelty has never really worn off for me. I think this is one of the better Marvel/DC crossovers as well, it feels pretty balanced in its’ presentation of characters from both companies. I didn’t like them just being in the same universe without any explanation though, I like to at least pretend crossovers could be canon to the main stories, but I guess it saved us time that would’ve otherwise been taken up by some boring inter-dimensional exposition. I do like the second Spider-Man/Batman crossover more though, it just had a little more to it I suppose and I think the dynamic between Kingpin and Ra’s Al Ghul is more interesting than Carnage and Joker. If it were possible to do another crossover (which it probably isn’t), I’d love it if they used Norman with Joker, I think there could be much more interesting interactions between those two than Carnage and Joker, I also just kind of like the idea of the archenemies of both characters getting to interact. Alternatively, Doc Ock with Hugo Strange could be interesting, considering they both have a thing for impersonating their greatest enemies and are more ‘intellectual’ villains.
