@Jack Brooks – I agree, but even so …
I mean, I don’t have kids, but if I had a teenage daughter (or are Gwen and Peter in their early 20s by now?) I would have a hard enough time thinking of her dating another boy, but I definitely wouldn’t want to see them kissing. As some stand-up comedian once said (can’t remember who), “I was a teenage boy once! I know how they think. I know what they want.”
I guess Gwen’s dad liked Peter well enough.
It always felt weird to me when Gwen would throw herself at Peter with her father in the room, and he would always cheer them on. Like he was saying “Yeah! That’s what I want to see!”
