C2E2 2019! Chi-Town Spidey HUNTED!

Hey Everyone!  Your very own Chi-Town Spidey here with a C2E2 report!  Guess who I ran into this year and hung out with.  Amazing Spider-Man writer Nick Spencer and artists Ryan Ottley and Humberto Ramos!  I even had a nice chat with E.I.C C.B. Cebulski!   I participated in “This Week in Marvel: Tournament of the Hunted” panel.  Here’s a summary of what the panel was about.

Join host Agent M aka Ryan Penagos for a maddeningly fun live episode of TWIM with special guests Nick Spencer and Humberto Ramos—creators of the new Amazing Spider-Man: Hunted storyline–and Marvel Comics Editor-in-Chief C.B. Cebulski! Nick and Humberto will team with audience members to pit 16 of Marvel’s most ferocious animal-themed characters against each other in an epic debate tournament. Giveaways, sneak peeks, and surprises await in this one-time-only event for Chicago’s merriest Marvelites!

So when I participated I represented George’s favorite character, THE STUPENDOUS STEGRON!  George would be proud an I even won the first round.  The second round the crowd cheered for the victor and….forgiven them crawlspacers, they know not what they do, for White Rabbit beat out Stegron.  The day White Rabbits beats out Stegron is the day Spidey hangs up his webshooters.  Who won the final round?  Should have been Stegron, but Ashley would be doing the happy dance, for the Black Cat was the victor.

I managed to get some contact info for Brad and take a look the pics below.  Yes, I did get some signed comics.  Couldn’t be happier!  This year was a blast!

Signed comics and a Humberto Ramos sketch I won in winning the first round!

  1. @Comet: I did! I almost mentioned his thunderous tail and that he can control any living reptile. Nick Spencer even exclaimed that “He’s a talking DINOSAUR!” It really should have been a WIN/WIN.
