    From what I understand there was a lot of overlap between comic fans and sci-fi/horror fans back then.

  3. Its interesting how much of the Marvels early 70s output has a “horror film” angle. Spider-man fights a vampire in Morbius. He himself gains 4 arms in a basic horror movie plot. The Lizard returns, definitely more of a horror film villain. Then there’s Spider-man’s own werewolf in the Man Wolf. Did comic fans in the early 70s just REALLY love horror films or something?!?
    Outside of Spider-man, you had the titles Tomb of Dracula and Werewolf by Night…
