1. It should be noted that the Spider-Man who saves Miles in the beginning of the trailer is most likely the one who dies.

2. I have a theory about this Peter– he’s one of the Spiders from an alternate universe who got dumped in Miles’ universe, and their partnership is the catalyst to finding out about the larger Spider-verse. (Note that the first trailer had a gravestone with Peter’s name on it, which leads me to believe that the Peter of Miles’ universe is already dead and this Peter has simply stepped up while he’s trapped here.

   I’m also gonna propose that Peter probably isn’t as old as his appearance makes him out to be. Large amounts of stress can cause people’s hair to gray, and Peter is a character who is built on stress impacting him. (This is probably something that the movie will highlight as he trains Miles.)

   Combined with the fact that he looks kind of homeless (Continuing off of my multiverse refugee theory, Peter’s counterpart is already dead and the Peter we’re following can’t really assume his name to get work without questions being raised) and probably doesn’t have access to really good hair products, it does make sense that he would look this way.

   I’m not really a big fan of how his head is shaped, though. Which is a shame because the Spider-Man renders are absolutely on point.

   This was just me trying to wrap my head around why Peter is poor yet has a “Hall of Armors” for his Spider-suits. So you’re allowed to call me crazy.

   Also Jefferson was the best part of the trailer. No contest.

3. Peter being that old with grey in his hair works for me… so long as Mayday is one of the To Be Announced spiders, and this Peter is her father. Just with both legs. I’m sure we’ll be getting Miguel and some clones as well.

4. Sooo tired of the Spider-Gwen marketing, MJ is likely not showing up either, I’d love for Spinnerett or Anime MJ in this

   Aside from that, yeah great trailer. Miles’ dad is the MVP of the whole thing.

5. This has made me think, if the Maguire films had continued, we’d probably have eventually gotten a film about his version of Peter training Miles. Might have worked better than it seems to here, since it’d be a Peter we’ve come to know and love over a long period of time instead of… whatever this version is. The animation and stuff with Miles is really great so far, but Peter was the worst part of the trailer for me, the voice, look, and personality just seem kind of off.

6. If Peter’s that old in this movie, he had BETTER be married to MJ by now. I will be extremely salty if he isn’t.

7. Peter sounds like he was voiced by the porno dude who played him, all coarse and burnt out

8. Lily Tomlin as Aunt May??! That’s awesome.

9. I dug the Mile’s and dad scenes. Spider-Man’s voice does seem off and was there some grey in Peter’s hair? He shouldn’t be that old. I’m down for the movie though.
