I look at this and sigh…
Say what you will about the JMS run, but I think he wrote the marriage better than anyone else. They felt like such a real, sweet couple who loved each other despite all their problems and differences.
In contrast, every interaction they have nowadays feels unnatural, hollow, and forced.
Another great moment on WHY this works so well!
This is one of my favourite scenes, next to when they found each other again at airport.
