Thirty-two teams entered – now four remain to battle it out for the ultimate title of Official Spidey Suit of the Crawlspace! The match-ups this round all deserve the title, but ultimately, THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE! Now join us, dear readers, and vote!
We’ve seen some outstanding performances out of these suits. Sure, Costume Shop I didn’t get as far as I had hoped, but them the breaks!*
And now for your pregame viewing entertainment – a parade of suits (think of it as the parade of flags before a podrace)!
OK, now time for the FINAL FOUR match ups!
Web Pits vs. Ben Reilly Suit – Web Pitts came in as a #1 seed and they have taken every challenge so far with ease. It is the design that started it all and it is playing off of both its sleek looks and the nostalgia factor it has packs a powerful punch. However, don’t count out the Ben Reilly Spider-Man upgrade. It has much of the qualities of the original model, but with extra features that really take the original look and makes it pop! Will the newer updated model be victorious here, or will it be just another New Coke? Only you an answer that! VOTE!
Crawlspace Odds – Web Pits 75%
Classic Red and Blues vs Symbiote – This promises to be a fight going down to the final seconds of voting. Two iconic looks battling head to head. The Classic suit is one that never completely goes away. Once introduced and made popular by Romita Sr., it has been THE suit that most think of when they think Spidey. That being said, the only suit to stick for any length of time after the Romita Classic is the Black Symbiote Suit. This suit does not shy away from controversy and made big headlines when it was first revealed in Secret Wars. It also is just to tough fights having gone done to the wire against the cloth version of itself last round winning by 1 vote. This match up has it all, folks! Who will win? YOU will – when you VOTE!
Crawlspace Odds – Classic Red and Blues – 55%

* Yes, it hurts my English teacher self to write that, but I’m going for a colloquial feel here.
I don’t think the web pits ever had a practical purpose either by design or by accident. At least, I can’t remember there being any.
I thought iron Spider or Bag Man had a chance at being one of those underdogs here, but the four that are in it are pretty close in the votes when I last checked.
Actually I think Web Pits is a bit of an underdog. Kind of hard to draw. Did those nets under his arms ever actually DO anything? Like maybe catch a Goblin Bomb while Spidey’s hands were full or some-such thing?
wish there was more of an underdog in the final four. oh well, web pit less red and blue for me
