New York Toy Fair 2018: Marvel Legends

As many of you know, I am a BIG Marvel Legends guy. It’s my favorite thing. I’ve even stopped collecting as many comics and started to collect the figures. Every Year, I hang on the every thread as to rumors, and news about the these things. So needless to say, SDCC and New York Toy Fair are two things that I always mark the calendar for. So needless to say New York Toy Fair is going on this weekend. The Marvel Legends Panel was also the weekend of Febuary 15-18 , and a whole BUNCH of figures were announced. We will Focus on the Spidey parts first, but I want to review what is coming out this year.
2018 Spider-Man Marvel Legends Wave 1*

2. Spider-Punk (Hobie Brown)
3. Lasher (from Seperation Anxiety)
4. Gwenpool (UGH)
5. Spider-Woman (Modern Jessica Drew, Pregnancy not included)

So, with that being said, what was said in the panel itself?
Basically, let’s break it down:
Spider-Man Marvel Legends Wave 2:

1. House of M Spidey (Repainting the Spider-Punk)
2. Cloak & Dagger
3. All New All Different Daredevil (Black on Red Costume)
4. Electra (Classic)
5. Scarlet Spider (Kaine)
6. Doctor Octopus (Classic)
   BUILD A FIGURE: SP/DR

THOUGHTS: I think this is a strong wave, outside of the BAF, in this guys opinion. House of M is a costume that is a fan favorite, Cloak and Dagger are a must have is you’re a 90s Spidey fan, or even a 80s Spidey Fan. Daredevil is pretty good, and I actually like this costume. Electra is like a must have if you got a DD in there. Kaine is a highlight, given that the Figure from 2009 is good, but it’s the old build. This new one takes the modern Spidey mold. And, it has a head swap and stingers! This is one of two home runs. The other? Otto. After Nailing Electro, Hobgoblin, Mysterio, Sandman and Kraven the Hunter, they continue nailing the Sinister Six with Otto. This is the figure we’ve been waiting for. A GREAT looking figure and for those who didn’t get the Toy Biz, this is one that is on the Must Have list. Well Done.

Walgreens is getting more Fantastic Four. While Reed is coming soon, with Madusa already in Stores, The Thing is coming, completing the set. I have included the Human Torch, Invisible Woman, and Reed in this set.

THOUGHTS: I haven’t gotten the Reed yet. But I plan on it. And this Thing is perfect. So is Silver Surfer. You can find them nationwide. Very good looking.

RIDERS: Last Year, Hasbro Debuted a new package: Ghost Rider, with his Bike, Black Widow, with her Bike, and now Logan gets the Treatment this go around.

AVENGERS: 
2018 Infinity War Wave 1:

THOUGHTS: I’m excited for Spidey, but I don’t get the rest of these. Not a huge Fan.

4. Malekith (Classic)

Target is getting a 2 Pack Killmonger and Agent Ross

Finally, if you missed out on some great figures from the past, and never got them from if you’re and MCU Fan, then this next grouping is for you:
1. Tony Stark and Mark I Iron Man is Walmart Exclusive
2. Iron Man Mark VII, Mandarin and Pepper are going to be at Gamestop
3. Ronin the Accuscer will be at Gamestop, Big Bad Toy Store and one other online retailer
4. Target is getting the Hulkbuster and Hulk from Age of Ulton
5. Civil War will have Crossbones and Cap (no Exclusive?)
6. There will be an Infinity War pack, but not yet announced.
