Gene Simmons Tries to Trademark the “Thwipp”

Kiss singer Gene Simmons is seeking to trademark the Spider-Man web shooting hand symbol. It’s also known as the “rock on” or “I love you” in sign language. As you know Spider-Man first used the hand gesture back in 1962. Simmons says he first used the hand symbol back in 1974 during Kiss’ Hotter Than Hell tour. Check out this article for more info.   1. Actually; Spider-Man first used the two fingers thwip in Amazing Spider-Man 90 when Gil Kane took over the task of drawing the character.
    The issue is from 1970, so it still precedes the guy from K.I.S.S.
