Mysterio is a personal favorite Spider-Man villain of mine. Still, I will admit he’s B-list. I think he’s had some good stories though. Amazing Spider-Man 24 (Spider-Man Goes Mad):

I also thought that story where Mysterio fooled Spider-Man into thinking he was shrunken was fun. The BEST Mysterio story wasn’t even in the comics. It was a novel by Adam-Troy Castro: Spider-Man: Gathering of the Sinister Six. The first book in a trilogy involving the Sinister Six which introduced the Gentleman (who was the mysterious figure in the Amazing Spider-Man films) . The first book in the trilogy (Gathering of the Sinister Six) was mostly about… gathering the Sinister Six. The main plot of the book focused on Mysterio haunting old associates from Hollywood when he was in the business. It also gets a bit personal when Mary Jane gets caught in the middle.
I’d recommend the trilogy. It was a fun story:

I like Mr. Negative. He’s the best thing to come out of Brand New Day. Heck, even Greg Weisman was impressed by him. I’m pretty excited for his debut in this game.
