Speaking to MTV (which was known for playing music videos back when raptors still walked the Earth), Captain America Chris Evans expressed interest in popping up in a Spider-Man film as Cap and also praised the Marvel Cinematic Universe Spidey, actor Tom Holland.
Having Cap show up in a Spidey movies makes much more sense than having Iron Man hanging about. Especially since we all know Tony Stark is the greatest Spider-Man villain of all time.
Evans also explains his comfort level with playing Captain America and says he’d loved to keep popping up as the Sentinel of Liberty.
–George Berryman!
And perhaps Spider-Man will have a better suit as well…
I agree that having a small cameo with Cap would be fun. Something like what happened in Thor The Dark World…
I love Evans, he just embodies the Cap in the same way Reeve embodied Superman, or JK Simmons embodied Jameson. If Tony Stark weren’t appearing I’d be more than happy for him to show up at some point (and he could take on the mentor role since as far as I’m concerned he’s the only Avenger with the right to do so for Spider-Man). However, I think one avenger is more than enough, Spidey needs to stand strong on his own without having to share screen-time with a bunch of other heroes. I really wish the Fantastic Four could be part of the MCU, they have far stronger ties to Spidey historically, and I’d love to see him banter with the Torch onscreen!
What?? That Nazi???
Actually I would like a small moment in the movie to show that Cap has no hard feelings and that Spider-Man can make his own opinions about people.
