  1. I believe it represents Spider-Man/Peter Parker losing himself to the vast number of crossovers he gets sucked into. The strangeness and diversity of the events, much like the diversity of the objects in the background, corrupts the image of Spider-Man. This corruption leads Spider-Man’s form to contort and distort in order to fit into the realm that he finds himself in much like in this picture. Nah, I’m just making stuff up. I have no idea lol.
