“Directly across the street from a police station…”
Another masked Spidey robber, this time in Florida. This is considered the second robbery from the same criminal.
From WESH’s Rikki Klaus in Orlando:
Tuesday night’s target — the Subway on State Road 436 near Ronald Reagan Boulevard — is directly across the street from a police station.
According to police, the man entered the store after 10 p.m. and demanded money from the employees. He pointed a handgun at an employee’s face and told her to open the register. He ran off once he received the cash.
…
A month ago, a robber in a Spider-Man mask armed with a long gun burst into the 7-Eleven on Lake Destiny Road. The robber and his accomplice stole money from the register and took off.
“There is nothing funny about the Spider-Man mask,” said Pelton. “This is a very dangerous situation that both store clerks faced.”
In both robberies, the man in the Spider-Man mask wore a red, fur-lined hunting hat and the words he used during the robberies were the same.
Daily Bugle publisher J. Jonah Jameson was unavailable for comment.
In all seriousness though we’re glad no one was hurt and hope that the police catch this guy.
–George Berryman!
Here I thought it was by “Flirda”

*grumble* That tears it. No more scotch before noon!
Just wondering: where’s “Flordia”? 😀
I am convinced that all of these recent Spider-crimes are being committed by listeners of the Crawl Space’s podcast and they are doing it because they know Brad will ask J.R. to talk about it.
I’m reminded about the Brand New Day story line kicking off dealing with the above image and how crazy the story was. It was used for the police conspiracy to get Spider-Man off the streets for good. Setting up murders and handing out the mask to a low life to make Spider-Man look bad. Then you see people doing these crimes and back in the day it was a William Shatner or Richard Nicon mask. Yet, the police weren’t arresting the said stars since of course anyone could by the mask at store who carried them and that’s how they eventually caught the robbers. So many places carry Spider-Man masks these days it’s pretty hard to zero in on the person because of done many possible areas.
