From Marvel.com:
Incoming writers Craig Kyle and Chris Yost promise to keep the fun at the forefront when they take over the ship with AMAZING X-MEN #8. All the daring action and thrilling adventure will remain, just like series artist Ed McGuinness, as Kyle and Yost bring classic X-Man Colossus back into the fold and send the tightly knit team on a new mission.
Chris Yost: It’s like coming home to old friends. This office, these characters, it’s where we got our start writing comics. But our approach has always been the same: tell the biggest, best stories we can with characters we love.
On Twitter, Yost has also hinted at a crossover with New Warriors, of which Kaine is a member:
I’m just worried that this’ll mean Yost will be spending less time on New Warriors. When he was working on “Dark World” Scarlet Spider suffered a bit. I hope this doesn’t happen to Kaine again. . .
Wasn’t Amazing X-Men created for Jason Aaron? I mean I don’t know that for sure, but he left Wolverine and the X-Men and this new X-Men title started with him as the writer, so that’s what it looked like. And now he’s leaving before the book made it to double-digits. I really shouldn’t be surprised by this type of turnover in Marvel comics (or comics in general), but I still am.
This has nothing to do with Kyle and Yost, but it’s just … sigh.
