“You don’t want it to intimidate…”
While promoting the upcoming Amazing Spider-Man 2 film Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone spoke with Australia’s The Project. The first thing they were asked about? Spidey’s costume. Specifically, his ‘package.’ The Daily Mail gave a rundown:
Garfield: It takes a lot of consideration, because you don’t want it to be overwhelming and also you don’t want it to be underwhelming. You don’t want it to intimidate and you don’t want it to… the opposite of intimidate. So yes, there is thought, but ultimately you have to trust that what you have is enough.
Garfield said that girlfriend Emma Stone approved of the package as represented by the costume, to which Stone added:
Stone: Because with great power comes great responsibility.
