When director Marc Webb said he would be doing a few things different for the second Amazing Spider-Man movie, he wasn’t kidding.

As it turns out, angels do exist. The woman in charge of Eco Management on the set of The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Emily O’Brien, was so thorough she was nicknamed “earth angel” by the crew.

Over 49 tons of materials such as glass and steel were recovered and donated to various organizations. Even the fake snow was biodegradable. They also provided 100 cookstoves for communities near a giant panda habitat.

Sony’s President of Production, Hannah Minghella, said that this movie is “the most eco-friendly blockbuster in the history of the studio.”

I’ve wasted my life studying engineering and mathematics. I should’ve been trying to get BS jobs on major blockbusters instead.
