Yesterday the Bugle’s Tumblr page had a story about unethical behavior at Oscorp involving the Smythe family:

Within a week of the announcement that the NYPD and the District Attorney’s Office had opened an investigation into illegal activities and questionable medical practices at Manhattan’s Oscorp Industries, sources indicate several of their top scientists have been asked to leave.
Reports cite the recent forced resignation of Dr. Spencer Smythe, the Director of Robotics, amongst others. He was seen leaving Oscorp Tower yesterday with a box of his personal belongings.
When asked to comment on the current employment situation of Dr. Smythe, Oscorp spokesman Donald Menken had no comment. Later in the day, Oscorp sent out a press release congratulating Alistair Smythe on his promotion to the Director of Robotics formerly held by his father. How Mrs. Smythe expects this will impact holiday dinners remains unknown.
Last week Amazing Spider-Man 2 director Marc Webb announced that B.J. Novak (The Office) will be playing Alister Smythe in the film, which is an indication that we could be seeing Spider-Slayers popping up at some point.

I’m hoping this version of Smythe doesn’t have those arm/tentacle/penis things on his shoulders. Gad, the 90’s were weird…
I scrolled down a bit and there was a post about a cloning class with Miles Warren
I just hope he’s like Rajit Raja (sp?), a character that is in the movie briefly for the comic fans but is of no real consequence to the story.
Don’t get me wrong I’d life to see more of Smythe in the other films, but we have more than enough in the film as it is.
I really like that Daily Bugle tumblr even though I havent had the time to keep track of everything they put up 🙂 I like the mention of Donald Menken and that joke at the end too.
