Stan Lee Won’t Appear In Guardians Of The Galaxy

StanSpideyThwippEntertainment Weekly is reporting today that Spider-Man creator Stan Lee won’t be making a cameo in the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy movie.

Stan, who co-created much of the Marvel Universe and who has had cameos in most of the previous Marvel films featuring Spider-Man, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, etc., notes that he had no hand in creating the Guardians of the Galaxy and therefore won’t be doing a cameo.

Said Stan:

“This is the one group that I didn’t create. I’m not even sure who they all are.”

The original Guardians of the Galaxy team appeared in Marvel Super Heroes #18 (1969) and was created by Arnold Drake and Gene Colan. Dan Abnett & Andy Lanning gave the name to a second team with different characters for their Marvel cosmic stories in 2008, and that team serves as the basis for the upcoming film.

Speaking to “DweebCast,” Stan also talks about being named as one of the most influential people in pop culture by Forbes Magazine, Ben Affleck as Batman and wearing sweaters.
