In a move no one saw coming, Venom will be joining the Guardians of the Galaxy. He and the Carol Danvers Captain Marvel will be the two new members of the team as Iron Man departs. From the looks of it Flash Thompson will keep the costume. No word on if he’ll continue to be on the Thunderbolts team. You’ll see his first appearance with the Guardians in the 2014 Free Comic Book Day issue.

He stole the symbiote from the military and went AWOL way back in Venom 10-12. The military ceased trying to get it back because Red Hulk persuaded Cap to vouch for him after the events of Circle of Four. If by “temporary host” you mean his limited time with the symbiote, that of course ended when he stole it.
What happens to his military position?
And what about the “Temporary Host”? Is that plot to be forever ignored?
I’m thinking Hornacek is on to something…
I foresee a Planet of the Symbiotes sequel.
If Flash does keep the symbiote with him now going into space I hope we get a decent origin on symbiotes.
I’m expecting Bendis to hook up Flash with Carol, since it didn’t work out the first time he tried with Peter.
