I hope this scene from "Amazing Spider-Man" issue 241 does not start a flame war. On our last Skype chat we talked about the way Mary Jane was portrayed pre-marriage and I brought this scene up.

The Black Cat was originally intended to be a Spider-Woman villain. Technically, the Black Cat might have been one of Jessica’s greatest adversaries if she didn’t encountered Spider-Man. Thus, I think that Marv Wolfman should have placed Jessica Drew in Spider-Man’s world as a Private Detective in the same manner as Jean De Wolf.
She was an adversary. But she was never “deadly” afaik.
Apart from Wolfman Stern wrote the best evil Felicia. I mean here she’s EVIL
I miss the Felicia of yore!
Lol, and she thinks what she is doing isn’t crazy?
