It wasn’t Lady Dorma in the O’Neil run. it was Llyra! I started buying Amazing with #210 (first Madame Web), and got a subscription that started with #214! I started to read back issues and that’s when the O’Neil run really started to compare unfavorably! At the time, I remember blaming Jim Shooter for doing away with the Writer/Editor position, under which Marv Wolfman, and many others, flourished. Eventually though, they hired Tom DeFalco as the editor for the books, and Roger Stern came on as writer, and things improved! Finally, about Amazing #210, I very much preferred Romita Jr’s pencils from that time! He was like a whole other artist!
